My Favorite Peanut Butter Mango Smoothie
It’s a good day when I get to start it with a smoothie. Especially one that tastes this good. I love playing around with ingredients for smoothies. This one however, I have found the perfect recipe for. I’m so excited that I got to make it with my brand new Vitamix that Steve got me for Christmas. Lucky me! He gave it to me early. It was on Black Friday special, so it was quite discounted when we bought it. You don’t have to have a high speed blender to make this or any smoothie for that matter, but they do make it easier. If you have a regular blender you may just have to stop and mix it up a few times to get it smooth. I can’t stand chunks in my smoothies! Also, if you check on Craigslist or Ebay you may be able to find a good used one.
I buy all of my fruit frozen for smoothies except for bananas. I typically end up freezing those too. Pro tip: if you buy greens and they are starting to wilt, throw them in a sealed back or container in a freezer and use them in your smoothie. You can do this with avocados as well. Anyway, there’s nothing like starting the day with a load of veggies and fruit. Hope you have a great day!
Peanut Butter Mango Smoothie
This is my go-to smoothie. It is perfection when crafted with the exact ingredients. Usually I am a throw it all together smoothie maker, but this one takes precision.
- 1/2 cup Frozen Mango
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 cup Frozen Spinach
- 1 heaping Tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 Tbsp Hemp Seed
- 1 Cup Water
Throw all of the ingredients in the blender. If you don't have a high speed blender, you may have to stop and stir every once in a while.
