10 Day Juice Cleanse–Day 1

After watching Tabitha Brown do a 10 day juice cleanse on instagram, I’ve been inspired to do one of my own. We’ll see how it goes! I’ll post daily videos and be honest about the process. I am juicing for a number of reasons. I’m juicing to give my gut a break. Juicing allows your body to immediately absorb the nutrients from the juice and your body doesn’t have to expend as much energy. There are gobs of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, it’s great for your skin and your waist line. After the 10 days of juicing, I will eat raw. Wish me luck!
Here are the rules: juice only (although incorporating juice into your diet without going on a cleanse is a great idea). Limited or no caffeine. I am weening off of coffee. You can have herbal teas.
I use an Omega Juicer. It is the slow masticating kind which preserves the nutrients a little more than centrifugal type.
I juiced 4 juices today so far:
- Celery: I juice an entire stalk of celery first thing in the morning, every morning. I love it!
- Panda Juice: Kale bunch, Sliver of Turmeric, 1/2″ Ginger, 2 Oranges, 7 Carrots–I really liked this one! It was sweet with a little bit of spice
- Koala Juice: 2 Small Beets, 3 Kale stalks, 1 Apple, Sliver of Turmeric, 1/2″ ginger–This one was surprisingly refreshing as well!
- Cucumber Juice: 2 Cucumbers, 2 large hand fulls of spinach, one lime, one Kiwi
HOW IT’S GOING:
So far I’m a little agitated and quite hungry. I have a feeling meditation will be my friend throughout this process. I’m super cold and I just remembered that I can have herbal tea! Wooh!
